Human out of the loop

The DROPS system enables fully autonomous cargo delivery straight into the hands of the warfighter, saving valuable time handling, loading, and receiving supplies – taking the human out of the loop for the very first time.

Platform and manufacture Agnostic

TB2 DROPS is unique in that it is platform-agnostic. Our modular and reconfigurable attachment design enables DROPS to seamlessly integrate with the majority of UAS platforms, ensuring that it can be utilized across different mission profiles.

The flexibility in our design also ensures that we can provide an effective interface between the majority of UAV and payload manufacturers.

Research partners

TB2 Aerospace has teamed up with research partners at the University of Colorado’s Research Center for Unmanned Vehicles (RECUV). The team is led by visionary founder, Hank Scott, CEO TB2 Aerospace, a former Navy aviator and entrepreneur of aviation innovation.

Reduced Drone training needs

DROPS is capable of mission-critical tactical resupply missions without the need to train the warfighter further.  Our mechanism allows the UAV to autonomously detach and leave the bulletproof POD containing supplies at the warfighter’s convenience, the UAV can then fly away without human touch to complete another mission.

More expeditionary

The DROPS system offers the military more flexibility, enabling UAVs to execute multiple types of mission whilst exploring further into the deep without putting soldiers in harms-way.

Not just Army - Applications cross domains

DROPS has advantages across the military domains. The added power and autonomous nature of the DROPS system enables far more complex, more efficient, and safer delivery and recovery of payloads which could transform military operational resupply and recovery of high-cost military assets in all three services.

Navy

The Navy will benefit from the DROPS secure docking system which allows autonomous capture, docking and locking of Cargo Pods, Payloads and UAV’s with minimal disruptions to ship operations and maneuver.

Standardized scalable Pods

The DROPS system not only paves the way to a truly autonomous multi-mission payload logistics system, it is also redefining next generation cargo pods.

The DROPS cargo pods are unique in the respect of the standardization – bringing a set of standard interfaces; the Drone Alignment Dock (DAD), so that the UAV to Pod interface is exactly the same regardless of Pod or payload. For larger Pods we simple add more DADs from 65kgs to circa 400kg for missions bringing harmony and easy management to UAV cargo pod logistics.

Self-charging system - extended UAV ranges

DROPS brings its own power supply extending the UAV’s range. The pods can carry batteries to provide supplemental power, without intervention, to the UAV during flight, extending its range. On the ground the DROPS batteries are easily charged through an induction charging system located at the base of the POD.

Military Confidence – award of DoD Grants

DROPS is already being recognized by the military gaining over $4 million in DoD grants.

The funding has enabled us to work closely on research projects with the US Army to develop next-generation capability, from tactical resupply to command and control in degraded environments, to the recovery of critical assets and CASEVAC missions.

Industry Recognition

Industry is also recognising the significance of DROPS, with partnership deals announced with manufacturers, such as DASIS in the UK and Quickstep in the US. See our news section for the latest partnership stories.

TB2 Automates UAV Payload Delivery and Recovery

Remarking on the force multiplier effect of DROPS Art Boghozian at Amentum said, “The integration of the DROPS Cargo Pod and Payloads with our existing support infrastructure is a game changer for military operations. This partnership not only enhances the capabilities of UAVs in the field but also ensures that soldiers can easily access supplies without extensive training, allowing them to focus on the mission at hand.”
